Did you know?

Parkinson’s Disease can also impact mood, sleep, and energy, not just movement.

Understanding Parkinson's Disease

Parkinson’s Disease is a progressive neurological disorder that affects the brain’s ability to control movement. It is caused by the gradual loss of dopamine-producing neurons, which are essential for smooth muscle activity and coordination. As dopamine levels drop, symptoms such as tremors, muscle stiffness, and slowed movement become more noticeable. Over time, non-motor symptoms like fatigue, mood changes, and cognitive difficulties may also develop.

The exact cause is not fully understood, but genetics, environmental exposures, and oxidative stress are thought to play a role. Managing Parkinson’s Disease often involves a combination of medication, physical therapy, and lifestyle adjustments. Early intervention and consistent support can help maintain independence and improve quality of life. Integrative therapies, including wellness-focused approaches, are sometimes used alongside standard treatments.

Symptoms of Parkinson's Disease

Early signs of Parkinson’s Disease may include subtle tremors, muscle stiffness, and slower movements. These changes can make daily activities like writing or walking more difficult and may affect balance. Many people also notice changes in posture or facial expression, which can impact social interactions. Over time, these symptoms may progress, requiring adjustments in routines.

Non-motor symptoms are common, such as fatigue, depression, and sleep disturbances. Cognitive changes, including memory issues and trouble concentrating, can develop as the condition advances. Digestive problems like constipation and changes in blood pressure may also occur. These symptoms can vary in intensity and may fluctuate from day to day.

Some individuals experience increased muscle rigidity or a sensation of heaviness in the limbs. Others may notice anxiety, mood swings, or a general sense of apathy. Sensory changes, such as a reduced sense of smell, are sometimes reported. Recognizing these patterns early can help guide supportive care and symptom management.

Traditional Treatments

Standard treatment for Parkinson's Disease typically involves medications that help replace or mimic dopamine in the brain. Levodopa is the most commonly prescribed drug, often combined with other agents to enhance its effectiveness and reduce side effects. Dopamine agonists and MAO-B inhibitors may also be used to manage symptoms. Physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy are important components of care, helping maintain mobility, function, and communication.

Lifestyle changes, such as regular exercise and a balanced diet, can support overall health and well-being. Support groups and counseling may help address mood changes and provide social connection. Some individuals explore complementary therapies, like IV nutrient infusions, as part of a broader wellness plan. It is important to work closely with healthcare providers to tailor treatment to individual needs and monitor for changes over time.

How IV Therapy May Help

IV therapy at The DRIPBaR is designed to deliver targeted nutrients that may help support neurological function, energy metabolism, and antioxidant defenses. By providing vitamins, minerals, and other compounds directly into the bloodstream, these therapies can offer consistent dosing and rapid absorption. Sessions are administered by licensed nurses, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience. Many clients appreciate the convenience and individualized approach to wellness.

Our services are intended to complement, not replace, traditional medical treatments for Parkinson's Disease. We work with each client to understand their goals and adapt therapy plans as needed. While IV therapy may help address fatigue, oxidative stress, and cognitive clarity, results vary and should be considered as part of a comprehensive care strategy. Ongoing support and education are provided to help clients make informed decisions about their wellness journey.

Nutrient-Based Support for Neurological Health

Certain IV therapies offer targeted nutrients that may help support brain function, energy, and resilience for those managing neurological conditions.

Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA)

Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) is a powerful antioxidant that supports energy production within mitochondria and regenerates other antioxidants such as vitamin C. Delivered intravenously, it offers rapid absorption to enhance cellular protection and metabolic balance. This therapy helps reduce oxidative stress and supports nerve and tissue health. It is suitable for individuals seeking to improve vitality and overall wellness. The infusion is administered under professional care to ensure safety and effectiveness. Regular treatments may support long-term cellular resilience and energy maintenance.

NAD+

Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide (NAD) is a crucial coenzyme involved in energy production and DNA repair within cells. This intravenous therapy delivers NAD+ directly to support mitochondrial function and enhance cellular resilience. By bypassing digestive limitations, it offers faster absorption and targeted metabolic support. The treatment may help improve mental clarity, reduce fatigue, and support overall vitality. It is designed for individuals seeking proactive wellness and cognitive enhancement. NAD+ levels naturally decline with age and stress, making replenishment important for maintaining health. The Drip Bar is truly such a gem. Marnie, the owner, is absolutely fantastic — you can immediately tell she really knows her stuff. She took the time to explain the different treatments and drips so thoroughly, and her knowledge made me feel completely confident in my choice. I went in feeling extremely low energy, and she recommended the Restoration drip. The difference was incredible — I felt back to myself and was able to keep up with my toddler without feeling completely drained. Beyond the physical benefits, Marnie’s energy is what makes this place so special. She is so personable, warm, and genuinely passionate about what she does. It feels both like a relaxing, calming space and a true pick-me-up spot. As a healthcare worker, I really appreciate the health benefits and the thoughtful, informed approach to wellness here. I’ll absolutely be coming back — highly recommend to anyone needing energy, restoration, or just a reset.

Came in for a drip yesterday! I was beyond impressed with everything from the moment I walked in. It was impeccably clean and the chairs and loungers were all very comfortable. Marnie is the best, she was so sweet and attentive the entire time I was there. She made me feel right at home and was amazing at helping me choose what drip was right to me. The nurse attending my drip was incredibly friendly and made me feel taken care of the entire time. The entire vibe of this dripbar was surrounded by a welcoming atmosphere, fantastic staff, clean equipment and space, and a really great/relaxing escape from every day life. I would highly recommend. 10/10! Can’t wait to be back!
