Did you know?

PCOS affects up to one in ten women of reproductive age and is linked to both hormonal and metabolic imbalances.

Understanding Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

While many expect regular cycles, PCOS often brings unpredictable changes. This condition is marked by hormonal imbalances, higher androgen levels, and small ovarian cysts. These disruptions can affect menstrual cycles, skin, and weight management. Insulin resistance and inflammation are key factors that influence overall health.

Genetics, lifestyle, and environmental factors all play roles in triggering PCOS symptoms. Managing the condition usually involves a blend of dietary adjustments, exercise, and stress management. Medical therapies may be needed for specific symptoms or risks. Early and ongoing support can help reduce complications and improve quality of life.

Common Symptoms of PCOS

PCOS often starts with irregular or missed periods, making it difficult to predict cycles. Acne and unwanted hair growth may develop, affecting self-confidence and daily comfort. Some women notice thinning scalp hair, which can add to emotional stress. These symptoms may appear gradually or change over time.

Weight gain and trouble losing weight are common, often linked to insulin resistance. Fatigue and low energy can make daily activities more challenging. Mood swings, anxiety, and difficulty concentrating may also occur. These patterns can create a cycle of frustration and reduced motivation.

Fertility challenges may arise due to disrupted ovulation, making conception harder for some. PCOS is also associated with long-term risks like type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular issues. Skin changes, such as dark patches or increased oiliness, are possible. Recognizing these patterns early can help guide effective management.

Traditional Treatments

Managing PCOS typically begins with lifestyle changes, such as adopting a balanced diet, increasing physical activity, and reducing stress. These foundational steps can help improve insulin sensitivity, support weight management, and lessen symptom severity. Medications may be prescribed to regulate cycles, lower androgen levels, or address insulin resistance. Options like birth control pills, anti-androgens, and insulin-sensitizing drugs are chosen based on individual needs.

For those facing fertility concerns, treatments like ovulation induction may be considered. Ongoing monitoring helps track progress and adjust therapies as needed. Emotional support, including counseling or group programs, can address psychological aspects. Each care plan is tailored to the person’s symptoms, goals, and health profile.

Safety, comfort, and education are emphasized throughout your experience. Our goal is to help you feel supported as you work toward improved well-being and symptom management.

The Drip Bar is truly such a gem. Marnie, the owner, is absolutely fantastic — you can immediately tell she really knows her stuff. She took the time to explain the different treatments and drips so thoroughly, and her knowledge made me feel completely confident in my choice. I went in feeling extremely low energy, and she recommended the Restoration drip. The difference was incredible — I felt back to myself and was able to keep up with my toddler without feeling completely drained. Beyond the physical benefits, Marnie’s energy is what makes this place so special. She is so personable, warm, and genuinely passionate about what she does. It feels both like a relaxing, calming space and a true pick-me-up spot. As a healthcare worker, I really appreciate the health benefits and the thoughtful, informed approach to wellness here. I’ll absolutely be coming back — highly recommend to anyone needing energy, restoration, or just a reset.

Came in for a drip yesterday! I was beyond impressed with everything from the moment I walked in. It was impeccably clean and the chairs and loungers were all very comfortable. Marnie is the best, she was so sweet and attentive the entire time I was there. She made me feel right at home and was amazing at helping me choose what drip was right to me. The nurse attending my drip was incredibly friendly and made me feel taken care of the entire time. The entire vibe of this dripbar was surrounded by a welcoming atmosphere, fantastic staff, clean equipment and space, and a really great/relaxing escape from every day life. I would highly recommend. 10/10! Can’t wait to be back!
